'The municipalities of Berat, Kuçova and Dimal are aware and committed to operate and maintain the disposal sites by increasing the budget and defining the dedicated staff for their management', was the message of Mr Adrian Maître, Ambassador of the Swiss Embassy along with Mrs Mirela Kumbaro Furxhi, Minister of Tourism and Environment and Mrs Enkelejda Muçaj Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Energy during their visit to the rehabilitated disposal sites in Berat, Kuçova and Dimal.

In the framework of the project 'Integrated Waste Management in Berat Region the municipalities of Berat, Kuçova and Dimal are aware and committed to operate and maintain the disposal sites by increasing the budget and defining the dedicated staff for their management', was the message of Mr Adrian Maître, Ambassador of the Swiss Embassy along with Mrs Mirela Kumbaro Furxhi, Minister of Tourism and Environment and Mrs Enkelejda Muçaj Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Energy.

During the visit, was highlighted the Swiss government supported the municipalities to rehabilitate the existing disposal sites, but now it is the duty of the municipalities to continue with the maintenance of the investment and future management.

The support for the Region of Berat started in 2018 and the community of the region has benefitted from and increase in the quality of services and municipal infrastructure.
