Strategic Environmental Assessment

Pursuant to Law no. 91/2013 “On Strategic Environmental Assessment” and to DCM no. 219, dated 11.03.2015 “On definition of rules and procedures on consultation with the groups of interest and public and on public hearings during the process of Strategic Environmental Assessment”, Berat Regional Council organizes a consultation meeting with the public and groups of interest to discuss about the Draft Strategic Environmental Assessment Report (SEA) on Berat Regional Integrated Waste Management Plan (RIWMP) on 11 February 2020, at 10:30 a.m. in the meeting room of the public library “Vexhi Buharaja” in Berat.

All inhabitants and groups of interest are invited to participate for discussing and expressing their comments and suggestions about this document. The draft SEA report and Berat Region RIWMP are made available to the public through publication on the official page of Berat Regional Council, as well as on the official pages of the municipalities of Berat, Kuçovë, Ura Vajgurore, Poliçan and Skrapar.

The comments and suggestions received throughout the consultation process and in this public hearing will be considered during the development of the Final SEA report and RIWMP – a crucial document which will have a positive impact in improving the environmental situation in the whole region.
